kinterbasdb provides the Python extension package for Firebird.
The main site for kinterbasdb was http://kinterbasdb.sourceforge.net/
Further development of the Firebird Python driver will continue at http://www.firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=devel&sub=python
The current release is kinterbasdb 3.3.0
Note that this driver currently doesn't work for Firebird 2.1.1 on Linux 32 bit.
The next release of Firebird 2.1 will fix the issues.
